Professor Chedly Abdelly, holding a Doctorate of State in Natural Sciences from the Tunisian Faculty of Sciences (1997), is an internationally acclaimed ecologist and halophyte specialist with over 40 years of experience in plant biotechnology and sustainable agriculture. With more than 500 publications (h-index 84, 28,359 citations), three patents, and authorship of the book Biosaline Agriculture and High Salinity Tolerance, he has significantly advanced the understanding of plant adaptation to extreme environments. A recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the African Continental Prize for Scientific Excellence "Kwame Nkrumah" (2020), he has also supervised 80 PhD theses and held key leadership roles, such as CEO of the Tunisian National Agency for Scientific Research Promotion. His groundbreaking work on the economic and ecological valorization of extremophile plants brings invaluable expertise and vision to our advisory board.

Dr. Guihua Bai is a distinguished Research Molecular Geneticist with the USDA-ARS and Director of the Central Small Grain Genotyping Center in Manhattan, Kansas. He holds a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Purdue University and has held various academic and research roles, including Adjunct Professor at Kansas State University. With over 320 peer-reviewed publications, his groundbreaking contributions include cloning genes like Fhb1 for Fusarium head blight resistance and TaPHS1 for preharvest sprouting. Dr. Bai has co-released over 50 wheat varieties and developed innovative genomic tools for crop improvement. His accolades include Fellowships in the American Society of Agronomy and the Crop Science Society of America, along with numerous awards for his contributions to plant genetics and breeding.

 

 

Dr. Mirza Hasanuzzaman

Dr. Mirza Hasanuzzaman, Professor of Agronomy at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Bangladesh, is a globally recognized expert in plant stress physiology. He holds a Ph.D. from Ehime University, Japan, and has over 300 Scopus-indexed publications with 26,000+ citations (h-index 83). His pioneering research focuses on plant stress responses, especially antioxidant defense mechanisms. Dr. Hasanuzzaman has edited 25+ books, received numerous awards, including the TWAS Young Scientist Award and BAS Gold Medal, and was named a Highly Cited Researcher (2021, 2022). He is a Fellow of prestigious societies and an editor for leading journals, with significant contributions to advancing agronomy worldwide.
